Once you have changed your password, Google will automatically sign you out from all the devices logged using the identical email address and the old password. But there are some applications and accounts that won’t be affected, which are as follows:

Devices wherein the user has already enabled the usage of third-party apps.
Useful Home Devices wherein the user has given prior account access.

Steps to Change password on Computer

Below are the steps-by-step demonstrations to change your Gmail password on Computer:

STEP 1: Go to the Gmail web application

Open the Google Gmail application on your web browser, or you can directly visit the URL: https://mail.google.com/.
You will arrive in your Gmail Inbox window.

STEP 2: Click on the Settings icon

Click on the tiny Settings icon located in the upper right corner of the Gmail window.

A dialog box will be displayed. Again click on ‘See all settings’ when prompted. Gmail will direct you to the setting window.

Click on the fourth tab, i.e., "Accounts and Import."

Step 3: Change your password

The first label (Change account settings) you notice holds the option to change your password. Click on the Change Password link.

It will direct you to another google tab. Gmail will verify the authenticate user by confirming the password. Type in your current password in the given “Enter your password” box. Click on the ‘Next’ button.

Reconfirm the password and click on the ‘Change Password’ button to save the password.

There you go, as your password has been changed successfully. You will be log out from other devices where you are using Google services. But you need to worry anymore as all you have to do is log in again using the new password.

NOTE: If you're using Outlook mail service, which is connected to your Gmail. You need to reconfigure the password settings to manage your Gmail account.

Step to change the password on Android

One of Gmail's popularity and preference is that most users can use their smartphones to alter Gmail's features. Below are the steps to change your password in the Gmail app on an Android smartphone.

Unlock your android phone and go to your phone settings.

Scroll down and look for the Google option and click on it.

It will quickly open your Google account, which you are using to manage the google application. Click on the 'Manage your Google Account', which is mounted below your email address.

Another window will pop out, giving out you the instruction tab on 'Get started.'

You will land on another page, as shown below. At the top, you will find six different tabs. Click on the Security tab.

On the following page, scroll down and tap on the Password option.

To continue, Gmail will first verify the authenticate user by confirming the password. Type in your current password in the given "Enter your password" box. Click on the 'Next' button.

Type in the new password in the field box. Re-type it to confirm the password and click on the 'Change Password' button located at the bottom of the page to save the password.

Congratulations! Your password has been changed.

Steps to Change the Password on IOS devices

Below are the steps to change your password in an IOS device (here below, I have used iPhone):

Unlock your iPhone and locate and open your Gmail app. It may be on a different screen or in a different location than shown in the below image.

You will be land on your Gmail page. Click on the three horizontal lines placed at the top-left corner of the page on your iPhone.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you reach the settings tab. Click on the settings icon.

The settings window will appear. Click on your email ID for which you want to change the password.

Under the Account menu, click on the 'Manage your Google Account' option.

The google account page will open. Click on the Security option.

Scroll down the page and click on Password.

Gmail will verify the authenticate user by confirming the password. Type in your current password in the given “Enter your password” box. Click on the ‘Next’ button.

Type in the new password in the field box. Re-type it to confirm the password and click on the 'Change Password' button located at the bottom of the page to save the password.
