Dart Built-in Data Types

A data type defines the type of value a variable can hold, such as integer, double, or string. 

Dart supports two data types: 

1. Built-in data types :

These are the data types offered by the Dart programming language, which are as follows:

  • Numbers (int, double) 
  • Strings (String)
  • Booleans (Bool)
  • Lists (List, also known as arrays)
  • Sets (Set)
  • Maps (Map)
  • Runes  (Runes)
  • Symbols (Symbol) 
  • The value null (NULL)
  • Constants
  • Queues

As we know, every variable in Dart language refers to an object which is an instance of a class. Therefore, constructors can be used to initialize variables. 

2. Other Data types :

Dart offers some other data types as well for our ease : 

  • Object 
  • Future and Stream
  • Iterable
  • Never
  • dynamic
  • void
