How to Set up Cash on Delivery payment method in Magento 2

Set up Cash on Delivery payment method in Magento 2

Customers pay for their purchase in cash in the Cash on Delivery (COD) process when receiving an order from the shipping carrier. The shipping company then returns the money to the store owner. Similar to other payment forms, we may pick the countries from which the store owners will approve the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment.

To set up the Cash on Delivery (COD) as a form of payment, follow the steps below:

Step 1: First, log in to the Admin Panel of Magento 2.

Enabled: Set Yes to this field to view the COD method as a payment option on the client's checkout page.

Title: Enter an appropriate and easy-to-understand title, which will be clear to the frontend customers.

New Order Status: Set this field to Pending for new orders until Admin authorizes the receipt of the payment.

Payment from Applicable countries: Customers from all countries are expected to make the payment using Cash on Delivery (COD) by selecting All Approved Countries.

Payment from Specific Countries: When we select Specific Countries, then it would be necessary for the customer from different countries to use this payment method, which we choose from the list. Choose the number of countries that have the Ctrl key.

Instructions: Enter the customer’s instructions; they must obey to make payment for Cash on Delivery (COD).

Minimum Order Total: To apply for the COD payment system, set the minimum order number.

Maximum Order Total: Use this form of payment to set the maximum order sum to limit.

Sort Order: Type the order number on the checkout tab, to arrange the location of this payment form.

Step 5: To confirm the cash on delivery payment in Magento 2, press the Save Config button.
