Tableau data file Extensions

The output of Tableau’s data analysis can be saved in different formats, which further can be distributed on different platforms. The various forms are reflected as different file categories, and they are recognized or identified by multiple different extensions. Their extensions depend on how they are produced and for what purposes they are used and what format they have used. They all are generally stored as XML file format, which can be opened and edited.
