Angular 8 Conclusion

Angular version 8 looks like a more accessible solution entirely focused on the modern technological trends added features. Like Ivy, route configurations use dynamic imports, builder APIs in the CLI, web worker support, Unified Angular Location Services and with every new release. The framework is getting smoother and smoother in making the Angular platform best.

Angular Performance and Upgrading from Angular 7 to Angular 8

Angular 8 new features are excellent, but the main reason for many of us to upgrade to new versions of angular 8 is to get a performance boost. If we worked with previous angular versions, then upgrading an app from Angular 7 over to Angular 8 is simple.

For most of the developers, one command should take care of this update:

ng update @angular/cli @angular/core

Upgrading to Angular 8 will enable us to ensure our apps are ready for Ivy. Although Ivy is only an opt-in preview to the Angular 8, the time to start checking for Ivy compatibility is high. If our apps are going to need changes, it's better to find out immediately than to wait and find out that your apps stop working in our Angular 9 and 10. When Ivy become the default, and the legacy Angular View Engine is dropped simultaneously.
