Difference between Exhaustible and Inexhaustible Natural Resources
Nature provides many resources which are used by all the living organisms. We the human beings mainly depend on the resources provided by the nature for different life needs to survive in this world. The resources provided by the Nature are of two types. The resources which do not get completed by the usage of the living organisms are called Inexhaustible resource and the resources which cannot be further generated by the nature, and they will be completed by the usage are called exhaustible resources. So, in this article we are going to study about the Exhaustible and Inexhaustible Natural resources.
Exhaustible Natural Resources
The Exhaustible natural resources can be defined as the resources provided by the nature, and they are present in the limited quantities. The Exhaustible natural resources take a lot of time in forming. They usually take millions of years to form. The Exhaustible natural resources cannot be last long for many years. The Exhaustible natural resources should be conserved because if the natural resources are once exhausted, they will not be available for future generations. The best examples of the exhaustible natural resources are fossil fuels. The Exhaustible natural resources are further divided into two types as renewable and non-renewable resources.
Inexhaustible Natural Resources
The Inexhaustible natural resources can be defined as one of the types of natural resources which are not limited, and they cannot be exhausted by the human usage. The Inexhaustible natural resources are regenerated on their own. The regeneration of Inexhaustible natural resources is done in very short period. The Inexhaustible natural resources provide the great advantages. They can also be used by the future generation. There is no need of conserving the Inexhaustible natural resources because they are inexhaustible in nature. Inexhaustible natural resources last forever.
Advantages of Exhaustible Natural Resources
- The exhaustible natural resources have some advantages. The fossil fuels are one of the exhaustible natural resources.
- The fossil fuel provides large amounts of energy.
- Extracting the exhaustible natural resources is more profitable.
- The exhaustible natural resources are easily found and the prices of them are very less.
Advantages of Inexhaustible Natural Resources
- The Inexhaustible natural resources can be used on a very large scale.
- We can create some unlimited energy sources from Inexhaustible natural resources.
- The Inexhaustible natural resources are easily available.
- They can be easily found.
- The large number of vehicles, houses and many other can run using the Inexhaustible natural resources.
- The Inexhaustible natural resources are not limited, and they do not end on by the usage.
- The usage of the Inexhaustible natural resources is not limited.
- The Inexhaustible natural resources require very less maintenance. The Inexhaustible natural resources do not harm the environment.
- The Inexhaustible natural resources used on a long run and easily available future generations.
Disadvantages of Exhaustible Natural Resources
- The exhaustible natural resources are extracted using different techniques like mining. They cause damage to the environment.
- The storing of the exhaustible natural resources requires very large places.
- The storing is not easy. They take millions of years to form.
- The usage of the exhaustible natural resources should be limited.
- They should be used in a controlled manner.
- The extraction of the exhaustible natural resources is very hard, and it requires more time to extract.
Disadvantages of Inexhaustible Natural Resources
- The Inexhaustible natural resources cannot be used all the time because they depend on the nature’s cycle.
- There are many factors which decreases the availability of Inexhaustible natural resources.
- The efficiency of the Inexhaustible natural resources is very low.
