Kajol Devgan: Biography, Age, Daughter, News, Sister, Family

The actress Kajol Devgan, whose real name is Kajol Mukherjee, was born in India on August 5, 1974. She is exclusively known by the name of Kajol. She has won several awards, including six Filmfare Awards, where she and her late aunt Nutan share the record for most Best Actress glories. The media regards her as one of the most well-known Hindi cinema actresses. In 2011, the Indian government presented her with the Padma Shri honor.

Kajol

She received two Best Actress nominations at Filmfare 2010 for her roles in the 2005 drama My Name Is Khan and the 2006 suspenseful, emotional drama Fanaa. Her two highest-earning films were the humor film Dilwale in 2015 and the historical drama Tanhaji in 2020.

In addition to performing in movies, Kajol is a well-known social campaigner for her activities with widows and orphaned children. In addition to holding a management job at Devgn Entertainment and Software Ltd., she served as a talent judge for the reality television series Rock-N-Roll Family in 2008.

Early Life And Background

Kajol was born on August 5, 1974, in Bombay. Tanuja, her mother, is an actress, and Shomu Mukherjee, her father, was a producer and director of motion pictures. Tanishaa, her younger sibling, is a professional actor.

When she was young, Kajol described herself as reckless, rebellious, and naughty. Also, when Kajol was young, her parents divorced, but she was undisturbed because their family never addressed the topic at home. Kajol's maternal grandma raised her and never let her realize that her mother was abroad and employed. Kajol claims that her mother has had a spirit of independence since she was a little child. Her "Bengali temperament" and "Maharashtrian pragmatism" were passed down to her by her father and mother, respectively, as a result of her upbringing in two different cultures. As per custom, Hindu practicing actress Kajol participates in the Mukherjee family's yearly Durga Puja celebration in the Santacruz area.

Kajol attended St. Joseph's Convent School in Panchgani for her education. She engaged in recreational activities like dance in addition to her academic pursuits. She first developed a severe desire to read fiction while still in school since it got her "through tough times" in her lifetime. To advance her career in acting, Tanuja tried to direct a film in the early 1990s but canceled it after only a few weeks of shooting. The photographer and screenwriter for the movie, Gautam Rajadhyaksha, recruited Kajol as she walked into his studio. It was "a great dose of luck," as she subsequently referred to it, that she began working on Bekhudi when she was sixteen. Although she subsequently questioned the choice, she planned to return to school following her two-month summer break from filming. However, she later dropped out to seek a long career in cinema.

Personal Life

During the shooting of Gundaraj in 1994, Kajol started a relationship with actor Ajay Devgn. They were nonetheless described as an "unlikely duo" by media experts because of their varied personalities. Devgn mentioned that they "never used the conventional "I love you" expression" while describing their relationship. "No proposal was ever made." Although it was never spoken of, marriage was always on the horizon. On February 24, 1999, both got married as per the Maharashtrian custom. The wedding attracted extensive media coverage as a consequence of some newspapers criticizing Kajol's decision to get married during the peak of her career. Kajol was certain, nevertheless, that she would cut back on her effort rather than give up performing.

Kajol

After marriage, Kajol relocated to Devgn's family home in Juhu, where she now lives with them. In addition to speculating about an inevitable divorce, the media frequently portrayed Devgn as romantically involved with other Bollywood women. Kajol claimed she ignored the reports and dismissed them as useless small talk. Kajol wants to keep her private affairs private and finds interviews "a waste of time." She also hates talking about them. On April 20, 2003, Nysa, a child, was born to her. After seven years, a boy named Yug returned to her on September 13, 2010. She called being a mother "fantastic," She also said that having children made her "her greatest self." Since 2015, Kajol's last name has become Devgn. She "can comprehend Bengali," in addition to speaking English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Screen Persona And Reception

Kajol demonstrated her screen presence with Gupt: The Hidden Truth (1997), which was recognized for making her one of the earliest actresses of her time to play female anti-hero protagonists and pushing her to more incredible popularity than male performers. It came after she played the lead roles in several family members' plays. Additionally, Kajol received compliments for her on-camera vivacity and personality. Khalid Mohammed called Kajol "a wonderful bundle of brilliance," while Rajiv Menon said she represented the joy of the 1990s. Karan Johar noted that while Kajol was there, "I would call "action" on a movie and expect a tiny atom bomb to explode on stage because that was how she was." As per Open, her unpredictability contributed "unique vitality" to her movies. Everyone was at the bottom because of her. According to the academic Ashish Rajadhyaksha, she is the performer "about whom a story may be developed, and a movie created."

One of the best on-screen pairings in Hindi film history, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have been together in several blockbuster movies.

India Today calculated their overall international box office receipts for their entire filmography, which included Baazigar in 1993 through Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001. It concluded that they had earned over 2 billion (US$25 million). They called this "a spell that successive pairs have found difficult to duplicate." Many filmmakers have sought to combine the two since 1995 hit Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge; among them is Karan Johar, who has directed them in three movies and stated that he did it as a homage to Baazigar, the first movie to feature the duo. Kajol and Khan were named the "best fashionable on-screen pair" in a 2013 Filmfare survey. In a piece contrasting her partnership with Khan to the one with her husband Ajay Devgn that was released the same year, Filmfare's Parampara Patil Hashmi concluded that while both associations did well commercially, the former is much greater because all of the films featuring them were box office successes.

Kajol, who has had a rewarding career after marriage and children, unlike the majority of her peers, was dubbed "the typical New Age lady" for this reason. After her wedding, newspapers predicted it would end her profession. She continues to appear in movies but has been much pickier, explaining the shortage of acceptable proposals and her lack of desire to see her professional life die. She explained this by stating that she prefers to interact with people with whom she is familiar. She contributed potential to the movies she appeared in, according to movie distributor Ramesh Sippy, who shared a similar opinion.

In The Media

According to her reputation for being reckless and headstrong, Kajol has been characterized as having a distinctive personality by analysts. As Sukanya Verma writes, "Consider Kajol and feelings." She either has a hot personality or is an emotionally fragile person. Kajol can also be pure and entertaining at times. Hiren Kotwani, a writer for the Hindustan Times, interviewed her in 2008 and was impressed by how openly she responded to the questions posed. According to India Today, her outgoing behavior helped her win cinema awards, and they said, "Kajol emits an enthusiastic freshness." The film industry's accepted knowledge and the method of success that must follow are quickly taught to brats in the field. Kajol has discarded the expectation; therefore, perhaps Tanuja introduced it to her, and Kajol never paid attention.

She was described as having an "unconventional beauty" by Filmfare, which also noted that she "established her norms in the '90s."

Kajol has faced opposition for showing less concern for keeping up her beauty. According to Gautam Rajadhyaksha, she doesn't care much about haircuts or fashion statements and would be pleased to wear pants, a white shirt, and a scarf every day. Kaveri Bamzai, a reporter, further explained, "She scarcely stares into the mirror; she hardly even stares at the stage screen, typically the comfort of every nervous actress; Kajol puts on cosmetics only under tremendous pressure, and Kajol never examines her past movies." Over five years (1995–1999), Kajol was ranked among the "Top Actresses" at Box Office India, with 1998 being the list's highest position.

She was also included in several rankings on Rediff.com, including the "Top 10 Actresses of 2000-2010," "Best Dressed Woman," and "Best Bollywood Actresses Ever." In an Outlook survey from 2008, she reached its highest point at number five as "the all-time favorite female star."

Kajol

Controversy

The 2016 Diwali conflict between her husband Ajay's Shivaay and Karan Johar's de Dil Hai Mushkil was the cause of the breakdown of her long-standing connection with Karan Johar. Additionally, Karan declared that he would never be friends with Kajol. However, things started to get back on track when Kajol liked a post by Yash and Roohi, Karan's kids. They reportedly reconciled at a party after she also welcomed him there.

Film Career

At seventeen, Kajol began her acting career in the 1992 romance thriller Bekhudi with her mom Tanuja, Kamal Sadanah, and other newcomers. In contrast to her parents' displeasure, Radhika, portrayed by Kajol, falls in love with Sadanah's character. Kajol's acting received praise even though the movie was a box-office failure. The criminal thriller Baazigar (1993), directed by Abbas-Mustan, was the fourth-highest-grossing movie of the year, with earnings of 182.5 million (US$2.3 million). The following year, she was cast in the film. Kajol played Priya Chopra in the movie, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Shilpa Shetty. Priya is a young lady who, unbeknownst to herself, falls in love with the guy who killed her sister. She and Khan collaborated on Baazigar, the first of several projects. Kajol faced criticism for her appearance despite the positive reviews she received for her work.

As an orphaned child who joins her divorced grandparents in the 1994 film Udhaar Ki Zindagi, Kajol made an appearance. The Bengal Film Journalists' Association selected Kajol as the best actress despite the movie's poor box office performance. Kajol said in a subsequent interview that making the movie was an incredibly taxing experience and that once filming was over, she was on the verge of a breakdown.

She became more well-known to the general public because of her performance in Yeh Dillagi, a love story made by Yash Raj Films and inspired by the 1953 drama Sabrina Fair. She portrayed the character of Sapna, a girl who establishes a modeling career and captures the interest of the two children of her father's employers. Sapna is the daughter of a driver. Yeh Dillagi, a commercial triumph, was a turning point for Kajol and brought her her first Best Actress award for the annual Filmfare Awards. The Indian Express noted her convincing portrayal, and Screen concluded that Yeh Dillagi had transformed her on-screen identity from a girl next door to a beauty expert.

Established Actress (1995–1998)

In 1995, Kajol co-starred in the box office hits Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Karan Arjun with Shah Rukh Khan. She was given the small role of Sonia Saxena Singh, Khan's lead character, in the former, an action movie directed by Rakesh Roshan centered on rebirth. She described her small part in the film, claiming that she intended to play a decorative role and acknowledging that her only function was to look elegant. The movie finished the year in India with the second-highest box office total. The following three films, Kajol released—Taaqat, Hulchul, and Gundaraj—underperformed at the box office. The latter two films marked her first partnership with her future husband, Ajay Devgn, and industry critics attributed the films' poor performances to their on-screen romance.

Kajol

In DDLJ, Kajol's final 1995 movie, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were non-resident Indians from London who became lovers while traveling around Europe and then reunited in India to persuade her strict father to delay her impending planned marriage. Kajol talked about how much she was emotionally invested in the role of Simran and how she was attached to the production. One of India's all-time top-grossing movies, it has been playing nonstop in Mumbai since its debut, and in 2014, when it hit the 1,000-week mark, it broke the record for the longest-running Indian movie ever. In surveys conducted by the British Film Institute, it has been named one of the greatest movies ever created. Kajol was an excellent choice for the role of Simran, according to Raja Sen of Rediff.com. She appeared in the action movie Bambai Ka Babu in 1996, which earned negative reviews.

Reviewers praised Kajol's performance of Isha Diwan in Gupt: The Hidden Truth, a psychotic serial murderer once obsessed with his girlfriend, as a significant shift in 1997. Rajiv Rai, the filmmaker, praised Kajol for the refinement she gave to the role and claimed that he "tried to tap the unique talent in Kajol." The suspenseful movie starred Bobby Deol and Manisha Koirala and was well-liked. Kajol was praised by India Today for outperforming her co-stars, while The Times of India stated in 2016 that she was "perhaps the first actress to overcome her goody-two-shoes reputation." Her portrayal was listed among the top villain appearances of 2002 by Rediff.com. In the end, Kajol made history by being the first female actress to be shortlisted for and receive the Filmfare Award for Best Acting in a Negative Role. Later, Kajol said she took on the role to escape being typecast and indicated her intention to take on other parts of the exact nature.

In Rajiv Menon's Tamil-language love song Minsara Kanavu, alongside Prabhu Deva and Arvind Swamy, Kajol took Madhuri Dixit's role after she played the lead role in the attaining enlightenment movie Hameshaa.

It took Kajol several reshoots and practices to perfect the movements since she found performing with Deva—a professional choreographer—challenging. Actress Revathi provided the voiceover for her character, Priya Amalraj, a convent student with aspirations of becoming a nun. As reported in The Indian Express, "Kajol is a complete psycho who marvelously easily adapts to her role." Kajol's facial expressions are possibly one of today's best. While the Hindi-dubbed remake of the movie, Sapnay, did poorly at the box office, viewers adored the old version. Kajol's subsequent film, Ishq, starred Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Ajay Devgn, directed by Indra Kumar. The movie was a box office hit, and the four actors received high marks from reviewers for their work.

By appearing in the three highest-grossing films of the year—Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai—all of which received nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Film. Kajol took home the prize and established her position as a prominent actress in Hindi cinema. She gained favorable reviews for her performance as a timid rural girl in Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, the first film to be produced. The twin sisters Sonia and Naina were the characters she portrayed next in the movie Dushman. The film's story focused on Naina's journey to even the death of Sonia, and Kajol gave one of her most fantastic reviews. She first declined the idea because she felt uncomfortable filming a rape scene, but eventually agreed to do it if she used a body duplicate.

Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, a romantic drama directed by Anees Bazmee and based on the 1995 American film French Kiss, came next. She portrayed the humorous character Sanjana, an inelegant lady who journeys from Paris to India in pursuit of her philandering fiancé but falls in love with another guy. The movie proved popular and earned Kajol a second nomination for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards that year. Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha was referred to by Deepa Deosthalee of The Indian Express as "Kajol's movie all the ways" and praised it for being worth seeing because of her appearance; Khalid Mohamed dubbed her "the show's super-saving grace." Kajol's acting is accurate and precise, keeping even the most significant sequences from being over the top while always remaining cheerful and carefree.

The 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, directed by Karan Johar, was Kajol's last release. It was also her top commercial hit. It was the first Indian motion picture filmed in Scotland, and it became a cultural and commercial powerhouse domestically and abroad. Anjali Sharma, whom Kajol portrayed, is a masculine-looking college girl who has been deeply in love with her best buddy for a long time. Years later, when he has become a widower, and she has undergone cosmetic surgery and been proposed to by someone else, the tale picks up with their second meeting. Despite an otherwise unrealistic narrative, people liked Kajol's acting for being daring and compelling. Her portrayal of the character, according to Nikhat Kazmi, is "nearly majestic." She was honored for her performance with her first Zee Cine Award for Best Actress. According to Filmfare, "the 80 most famous achievements" in Indian film featured Kajol's roles in both Dushman and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. In a year-end article, the Tribune's Madhur Mittal wrote that Kajol "appeared as the perfect actress with her terrific emoting and stunning acting talent in each representation."

Kajol

Career Fluctuations And Hiatus (1999–2001)

Journalists predicted that Kajol's starring as the other lady to Ajay Devgn's role in Dil Kya Kare, her first film after getting married, would serve as "the acid test" for her. She only agreed to take the position because "it had some grey areas." Although the Deccan Herald praised her for performing the part with delicacy, the film mainly received unfavorable reviews. The movie was a failure, both critically and commercially. Contrarily, critics and viewers gave the movie Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain favorable reviews. She gained experience playing "the conventional, sacrificial lady part" in the film, which also starred Anil Kapoor, and received another Best Actress Filmfare nomination. The movie received media attention because it was one of the few women-focused movies that drew audiences to Indian theatres.

Her final year-end release, Hote Pyar Ho Gaya, was a hit. The Hindustan Times recognized her romance with Jackie Shroff; however, they did not comment positively on the film.

The following year, Kajol and her spouse co-starred in his in-house movie, Raju Chacha, whose premise centers on the love affair between a scam artist and the babysitter of three affluent kids. The children's movie was listed as one of the most costly Hindi films, with a production budget of 300 million rupees ($3.8 million). Dinesh Raheja complained that the storyline lacked originality and interfered with Kajol and Ajay Devgn's relationship. In the 2001 film Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, directed by Rahul Rawail, Kajol portrayed twin sisters who were split up at birth. Kajol's dual part in the movie received negative reviews and was referred to as "a double bore."

Roshmila Bhattacharya of Screen praised Kajol's appearance and spirited portrayal. Kajol said that she was irritated by the box office failures of Raju Chacha and Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi.

Later the same year, Kajol starred in the cast romance Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, directed by Karan Johar. The movie became the highest-grossing Indian film ever released outside India. The actor's loud personality resonated with her, and Kajol saw parallels to Hema Malini's in Sholay (1975). Although she first failed to learn the language since she was not proficient, Kajol eventually mastered the grammar and vocabulary with director Yash Johar and team members. She earned a third Filmfare Award for Best Actress because of her humorous portrayal and Punjabi accent, which received favorable reviews. Kajol takes the lightning from under very high noses, according to Ziya Us Salam, who wrote a comment for The Hindu. She is delightful everywhere because of her perfect timing and soft, prolonged look.

Kajol took a sabbatical from acting after KKKG and declined several film offers. Despite continuing to appear in films, she acknowledged that Kajol had been more selective about the parts she accepted to highlight her marriage more. The majority of viewers at this point considered her career to be over.

Intermittent Work (2006–2010)

Kajol returned to movies with Kunal Kohli's emotional suspense movie Fanaa (2006). Zooni Ali Beg, a blind Kashmiri lady who unintentionally becomes obsessed with a terrorist, was the character she played. Although the movie was marketed as her return, she hated the word, claiming that she had just taken a break and not retired. The film was a thriving commercial. Both the movie and Kajol's acting did favorable reviews. At the same time, Deepa Gahlot agreed that Kajol's commitment to the role more than made up for the movie's shortcomings.

Kajol worked irregularly throughout the remainder of the decade. She started shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming mythological movie Ramayana in 2007, centered on the same-named epic, and features her as the goddess Sita. The 2008 movie U Me Aur Hum, directed by her husband, had an important place in her profession. She played the role of Piya Thapar, a character with Alzheimer's disease in it. She was again nominated for Best Actress by Filmfare for her work, even though the movie didn't do well financially. According to Gaurav Malini of The Economic Times, Kajol's "simmering pace and periodic amnesiac episodes, instead of being monotonous, provide tremendous authenticity to the plot." Reviewers, however, had terrible things to say about her beauty.

After that, Kajol was paired with Shah Rukh Khan in the 2010 film My Name Is Khan, which focused on the prejudice experienced by American Muslims in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It was the first Indian movie that Fox Star Studios had the privilege of distributing. It was mixed with favorable reviews before its release and quickly became a global hit. Indian and foreign reviewers appreciated Kajol's depiction of Mandira, a Hindu divorcee who marries a Muslim guy with Asperger syndrome. Kajol portrays Mandira in the film. The Los Angeles Times considered Kajol engaging in an emotionally charged character, while Rajeev Masand praised her for her sensitive portrayal. Kajol shared the record for Best Actress wins at Filmfare with her late aunt Nutan after taking up the prize for the movie.

Alongside Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, Kajol played the lead role in Siddharth Malhotra's 1998 American drama Stepmom adaptation, "We Are Family," within the same year. Kajol portrayed Maya, a position she related to since she is a "control freak" who aims for excellence. She thought it to be very distinct from Susan Sarandon's portrayal of the protagonist in the original. Maya was mainly based on Malhotra's grandmother, Bina Rai. Mayank Shekhar pointed out Kajol's acting as being superior to Sarandon's. At the same time, The New York Times's Rachel Saltz said that "her authenticity gives the film a true emotional drive." In the following year's Toonpur Ka Super Hero, Kajol played Priya Kumar, a lady trapped in the realm of cartoons. Kajol discussed the difficulties and struggles of translating for a movie. The movie, regarded as the first live-action animated picture in Hindi, divided reviewers, could not find a large audience and disregarded her because her profession didn't allow her many opportunities to develop herself. After having her baby in 2010, she took a second break from acting, but she did contribute her voice to the fantasy movie Eega's 2012 Hindi release's beginning titles.

Dilwale And Beyond (2015–Present)

In the 2015 adventure film Dilwale, directed by Rohit Shetty, Kajol reconnected with Shah Rukh Khan after a five-year separation. She portrays Meera Dev Malik, a gangster don's older daughter who falls in love with an opposing gang member. The film received mixed reviews from critics. Nevertheless, despite playing a less significant role, Kajol's acting received favorable reviews. Dilwale became an enormous commercial success, earning more than 3.8 billion rupees globally, and it is one of the most successful Bollywood movies of all time. Kajol's acting led to candidates for "Best Actress" at several award shows, including Filmfare.

Kajol

Ajay Devgn and Leena Deore's Marathi historical drama Vitti Dandu, which examines the bond between a grandpa and his grandson, marked her first year as a producer during that year. The movie earned favorable reviews from reviewers and was awarded the Best Marathi Film prize at the Screen Awards.

After Minsara Kanavu, Kajol's second Tamil-language movie, Velaiilla Pattadhari 2, released in 2017, featured her alongside Dhanush. It was a remake of the 2014 thriller blockbuster Velaiilla Pattadhari. Vasundhara Parameshwar, the chairperson of Vasundhara Constructions, portrayed her. Despite her initial reservations, Kajol decided to participate because of her confidence in Dhanush and the film director, Soundarya Rajinikanth. She credited them for granting her the courage to appear in a non-Hindi-language movie. Kajol was complimented for her grace and said she was the right fit as Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 debuted to mixed reviews from critics but did well commercially.

In the 2018 movie Helicopter Eela, based on the Gujarati drama Beta, Kaagdo by Anand Gandhi, Kajol played a helicopter mother who enrolled in her son's school to finish her studies to become a singer. She was especially drawn to the job because of her bright personality and connection to her child. Kajol's acting received mixed reviews, and the movie was a critical and economic failure. She "doesn't provide Riddhi Sen's comfort conditions in the humorous parts," according to a critic for Scroll. When the film eventually ends, she becomes quiet. Raja Sen, in a piece for the Hindustan Times, highlighted her raucousness but stated that Pradeep Sarkar, the director of the movie, "had lucked out with his actress." The Hindi edition of the animated superhero movie Incredibles 2 included her as Helen Parr during the same year.

By 2020, the "important year" for Kajol, according to The Telegraph, she had chosen to emphasize character value over its duration. The historical drama Tanhaji, which also starred Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan, was her debut release of the year. It became the year's highest-grossing movie, collecting 3.67 billion rupees, and was inspired by the story of Tanaji Malusare. She portrayed Savitribai, Tanhaji's wife, a decisive role she compared to herself and said was a good fit for her. Despite being given a short amount of camera time, her turn received favorable reviews from the reviewers. She made her acting debut later in the year in the thriller "Devi," about nine women who reside in a room together and are shielded from outside society. The reviews were favorable, and Kajol was praised for directing a varied group. The Filmfare Short Film Awards presented Devi with the "Best Film" (Popular Choice) prize.

The social thriller Tribhanga of the year 2021, Kajol's subsequent endeavor, was directed by Renuka Shahane and became her first Netflix production. Anuradha Apte, a foul-mouthed Odissi artist, is played by Kajol in the Mumbai-set film about the intergenerational disputes of three women from the same family. According to her, the relationships of the three main characters were similar to her own with her mother and daughter. Reviewers gave excellent reviews of the movie and Kajol's portrayal of the character. She was commended by Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV for creating the suspenseful mood required for the film to "keep trundling along at a constant speed." Stutee Ghosh of The Quint said Azmi and Kajol's powerful acting had "a remarkable grasp, and it's tough to concentrate on anybody else while they are in the camera." Her portrayal was a finalist for "Best Actress" at the 2nd Filmfare OTT Awards.

The family thriller Salaam Venky and the political and constitutional drama The Good Wife, produced by Revathi, will feature Kajol as a leading lady.

Off-Screen Work

In 1998, Kajol joined Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Akshay Kumar on the "Fantastic Foursome" concert tour. Kajol declined to participate in additional international trips after touring across the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States because she couldn't manage the pressure. When Devgan Films, now known as Devgn Entertainment and Software Ltd., Ajay Devgn's entertainment firm, was established in 1999, Kajol began working on developing a website. "I know how to use computer systems." Or, at the very least, I possess more excellent computer knowledge than people around me. I may be of some assistance there.

Kajol

She was the industry's direction as it developed the film production internet portal Cineexplore in 2000. Ajay Devgn Films, Devgn's second business, was founded in 2009. Kajol made it clear that she took part in the monitoring and directing but not the creation component. In the 2008 television show Rock-N-Roll Family on Zee TV, she appeared as a competition judge alongside her spouse Ajay Devgn and mother Tanuja, an experience she considered far more challenging than acting in movies. In 2016, she was appointed a part-time employee of the broadcasting network Prasar Bharati. She penned the introduction to Sridevi: The Eternal Screen Goddess, a portrait of the actress published in 2019.

Kajol has taken a leading role in several charity initiatives that support women and children. She initiated a campaign in 2009 to assist the cause while working with Shiksha, a non-governmental organization dedicated to children's schooling.

Kajol stands at 5' 3" in height and weighs 58 kg. Everyone is immediately drawn to her natural beauty, including her stunning brown eyes and cheekbones.
