In the Indian television industry, Sriti Jha, also known as Pragya, is a well-known face. Even serial lovers are only familiar with her by this name. Her most well-known serial, Kumkum Bhagya, features a character named Pragya. People subsequently began referring to Sriti as Pragya since her Pragya character was such a success. She had never taken acting classes before, but she had aspired to be an actor since she was young. She has no acting experience, but she works very hard.
Sriti began her professional career in Mumbai on the well-known TV reality program Dhoom Machaao Dhoom. She hails from the Indian town of Begusarai, located in Bihar. Many young girls who aspire to be actresses but lack the resources to do so are inspired by her.

A middle-class Brahmin family welcomed Sriti Jha on February 26, 1986. Mithilesh Jha is the name of her father. When Sriti was a young child, her family relocated to Kolkata. A few years later, they moved to Nepal's capital city, Kathmandu. In Nepal, Sriti finished her elementary schooling. From Shree Venkateshwara College, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English. She was enrolled at Laxman Public School for further education, but her parents once more relocated to Delhi.
Verbum, an English Dramatic Society, was present at Sriti's college. She joined it due to her intense passion for acting, and after a while, she was elected its President. Sriti had her first opportunity to perform the lead role on a Verbum production with "Ritual in Blood." She received the best actress prize from the Dramatic Society division for her remarkable performance in the play. The author Steven Berkoff, who depicts the Victorian Era in the 12th century, was cited in the play.
Career
Sriti produced her debut TV series in 2007. In the television show "Dhoom Machaao Dhoom," she finally found success. Sriti portrayed Malini Sharma in this Disney Channel television series. The actors in this serial included Sriti, Jai Bhanushali, Toral Rasputra, and Vikrant Massey.
She appeared in the 2008 television series "Jiya Jale," playing the role of Sunaina Kotak. She participated in the 2009 TV show "Shaurya Aur Suhani." She played Princess Suhani in this television series. This drama was shown on the Star Plus network. In this TV show, Saurabh Pandey acted alongside Sriti.
'Jyoti' is the name of the following 2009 serial, in which she also had a role. In this television program, she portrayed Sudha. Off Screen Work
During the 2020 Kommune India Spoken Fest in January 2021, Jha read a poem titled "Confessions of An Asexual Romantic," in which she discussed what an asexual's life might be like and the lack of freedom when it comes to discussing one's sexuality in India. She made it clear that the poem isn't about her and that she isn't an asexual in an interview. Additionally, she read two other poems, "Choodiyaan," which is about a gay man, and "Chaabi Gum Gai Hai," which is about a lesbian, both of which deal with the issues that people with different sexual preferences must deal with. She talks about how falling in love seems like it's the first time in "It's Pehla Pyaar Every Time."
Jha wants to tell her 15-year-old self in the past that we should never compromise. This is the subject of her first open letter, "A Letter To Myself." Her other writings, such as "To Like? Or To Love?", distinguish between loving and liking and demonstrate how like is unrestricted, but love is. In this partnership with ITC Vivel, Jha encourages women to challenge preconceived notions, break free from constraints, pursue their aspirations with courage, and declare out loud, "Ab Samjhauta Nahin." A day before Valentine's Day in 2021, she also read a poem with the narrator named "Cheesy Stupid Ishq."
