Before this match, India was unbeaten against Bangladesh, but India lost and got out of this tournament. At that time, many cricket experts said that Greg Chappel was the real reason for this defeat. Chappel suggests that Sachin should play in the middle order. At that time, Sachin was playing in top order. Sometimes he came at the opening, or he came at one down, but chapel said that if Sachin came at number 4 or 5, then it would be a good thing for the team, but it was a wrong decision because the world cup was a big platform, and you can not make such significant changes in your team at this stage. Before these matches, Sachin had never played in these places. Because of this change, Sachin could not maintain his form for his team, and as a result, we faced defeat.

Tendulkar Got His Old Form And Consistency

After the world cup, everyone wanted to replace the chappel. As a result, chappel had to resign from his post. India played a series against Bangladesh post his resignation.
