He is a modern heartthrob Indian playback singer in Bollywood films. He was born on 23 September 1987 into a Hindu family. He has a beautiful family, his parent's name is Krishna Vaidya and Geeta Vaidya. His father is in the technical field and works as an engineer for Maharashtra State Electricity Board. He has one beautiful elder sister named Shruti k Vaidya.

He is a Maharashtrian born in orange city Nagpur, and he did his schooling at Hansraj Morarji Public School in Mumbai. Later he went to Mithibai College, Mumbai, for graduation.

He loved singing early on and sang for local events near his home. His mother was interested in singing, so Rahul sent to singer Himanshu Manocha to learn music. Later, he went to famous Indian Singers Suresh Wadekar and Padma Wadekar to learn singing.
