Shruti Haasan is well known Indian actress and singer. She has contributed to films in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Her horoscope indicates that she is an Aquarius. She was born in Madras, Tamil Nadu, on January 28, 1986. She attended Lady Andal School and Abacus Montessori School in Chennai for her formal education. She later went to St. Andrew's College in Mumbai to finish her psychology degree. In the 2000's Tamil-Hindi bilingual film "Hey Ram," directed by Kamal Haasan, she made her debut on a large screen. In this movie, she portrayed the daughter of Vallabhbhai Patel. Luck, a 2009 Hindi film starring several celebrities, marked her acting debut in Bollywood. The filmmakers of this movie first heard of her name from her childhood buddy Imran Khan, who also starred in it. The movie was a disappointment, and she was heavily criticized for her lackluster acting abilities by numerous well-known Indian cinema critics.

In the 2011 movie "Anaganaga O Dheerudu," she made her Telugu acting debut alongside Siddharth. She was well-received by critics, and the movie had a strong debut. She made her acting debut in the same year as the lead in the Tamil movie "7aum Arivu," starring Suriya.

She subsequently had appearances in several Bollywood movies, such as "Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji" (2011), "Ramaiya Vastavaiya" (2013), "Gabbar Is Back" (2015), and "Behen Hogi Teri" (2017).

In 1992, she performed the Hindi and Tamil renditions of the song "Rama Rama" from the movie "Hey Ram." Controversies

  • She was attacked at her Mumbai apartment in 2013 by a stalker. She fought back and slammed the door shut with such force that the attacker's hand was stuck inside.
  • There were rumors that she hugged and kissed the well-known actress Tamannaah Bhatia in 2014 at a party in Chennai. Later, Tamannaah refuted all of these claims.
  • After hearing about the movie's release at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, she decided against participating.
  • She became embroiled in a significant scandal after some of her provocative photos from the sets of her Telugu movie, "Yevadu," were released (2014).
