Yami Gautam is a Bollywood celebrity known for her fabulous work in Hindi film Industry. She started her career with some advertisement for beauty products, and after that, she got some work in television and then she got a chance to show her talent on the big screen, and now as a result of her hard work and talent, she is a superstar of Bollywood. She got her initial success in 2008 when she played the main role in the Indian television show Chad Ke Par Chalo. After that, she got another Television show named Ye Pyar Na Hoga Kam. After making many television shows, she got a few movies in Tamil and Telugu; after all, she got her real aim in 2012. This year, she made her Bollywood debut with the sensational movie Vicky Donar. Early Life And Background

28 November 1988 was the date when she was born. She belongs to a Hindu Brahman family, and her home town is situated in Bilaspur ( A district of Himachal Pradesh) and was grown up in Chandigarh. Her father, Mukesh Gautam, also belonged to the film industry, and he had directed some Panjabi movies. Her mother's name is Mrs Anjali Devi, and she has a younger sister named Surili Gautam. Surili is also trying to make her career in the film industry, and she has made her debut in the film industry with a romantic Panjabi movie named Power Cut. Yami was a good student in her childhood and completed her schooling with some good marks. After completing her 12th, she entered college to pursue a graduate degree in law honours. After completing her higher education, she was highly interested in preparing for UPSC. For the next two months, she prepared for UPSC, but during these two months, she understood that she would have to give more than 3 years to clear this exam. At the age of 20, she decided that she would make her career in the film industry and because of her dream, she left her studies and moved to Mumbai. Still, it was not an easy task to get a role in the film industry, so she had to face some struggles for getting her first television show, but because of her beautiful face and her father's identification in the television industry, she got her first Television show named Chand Ke par Chalo. It became a hit show, and because of this, she again got work in the television industry. This time she was playing the lead role.     In 2009 she made her debut on the big screen with a Kannada movie Ullasa Utsaha, but this was a low-budget movie and could not be a dream debut movie for Yami. In 2012 she made her debut in Bollywood. This time she got the lead role in Shoojit Sircar's romantic drama movie Vicky Donar. It was also a debut for Ayushman Khurana, Annu Kapoor and Dolly Ahluwalia. Because of these new actors and actresses, Indian film critics gave their bad opinion of this movie. Even though some critics said that it could not earn equal to its budget, it became a blockbuster movie of that year, and its worldwide income was more than 645 million Indian Rupees. For her sensational debut, she got several awards and Nominations, including the best female debut and the trophy of Zee shine Award. Her movie did very well at the box office; still, she had to wait for two years to engage in a new movie, and after two years, she returned to Bollywood with her another movie named Total Siyappa. Eeshwar Nivas directed this movie, and Ali Zafar was in the lead. It was a love story, and in this movie, Yami played the role of Ali's lover. After that, we watched Yami in an action thriller movie directed by Prabhu Deva. Prabhu Selected Ajay Devgan as the lead actor for this movie, who played a double role and the movie's name was Action Jackson. This year was bad for Yami because both movies' performances were very low even Action Jackson could not earn its budget.
  • 2015 To 2018, Where She Established Her Career

After giving a few flop movies in 2014, Yami was demotivated, and in this situation, she needed a blockbuster movie, which came in 2015. At the start of 2015, director Sriram Raghvan was making an action thriller movie, "Badlapur," and for this movie, she signed Yami Gautam For the lead Actress role. In this movie, Yami worked with Varun Dhavan and Nawajuddin Siddiqui. This movie was based on a real story, and it focused on a story of a man who took revenge for his wife and child's death and gave his life's 15 years for taking that revenge. Varun Dhavan played that person's role; in this movie, his character's name was Raghu. It was the blockbuster movie of that year, and its worldwide collection was 770 million Indian rupees. Because of this hit movie, Yami got much praise.

In 2016 she got two romantic movies, Divya Khosla's Sanam Re and Vivek Agnihotri's Junooniyat, but their performance at the box office was a commercial failure.

In 2017 she collaborated with Ritik Roshan on a movie named Kabbil, which Sanjay Gupta directed. For this movie, Ritik and Gautam played the role of a blind men. Generally, it was a romantic thriller movie in which Gautam got raped by some people, and after that, Ritik took revenge on those people. Its performance at the Box office was good enough. It earned 1.96 billion Indian rupees. The same year, she featured in Ram Gopal Verma's Political movie Sarkar Along with Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee and Amit Sadh. Its budget was approx 35 crore rupees, but it could not earn equal to its budget. Its worldwide income was 15 crore, which became the flop movie of that year.

  • 2019 To Present

    In 2019, Yami got a big success in her life, and she got this success because of her appearance in Aditya Dhar's Military action thriller movie Uri The Surgical Strike. This movie was based on Uri's attack, which happened in 2016. For this movie, Director chooses Vicky Koushal as the lead actor along with Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina as a co-star. In this movie, Gautam played the role of an intelligence officer who Changed her gat-up with a nurse; for this movie, her character's name was Pallavi Sharma. It was a high-budget movie and earned more than 3.36 billion Indian rupees worldwide.
    At the end of 2020, she appeared in Ginny weds Sunny, Puneet Khanna, and Vikrant Massey performed its lead male role. It was a debut movie for Puneet Khanna, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, they had to release it digitally. On 9 October 2020, this movie streamed on Netflix, and its performance was ordinary.
