Introduction

Shahrukh Khan, born 2 November 1965, often credited as Shahrukh Khan and informally known as SRK, is a famous Indian film actor. Often fans fondly address him as King Khan, King of Bollywood, Romance King and King of Bollywood, he has worked in about 72 Hindi films ranging from romantic dramas. He has been nominated for Filmfare Awards 30 times for his contribution to Bollywood films, out of which he has received this award 14 times.

To date, Dilip Kumar and Shahrukh Khan are the only actors in the entire Bollywood industry who have been awarded the 8th Film fare Award. Further, for his contribution to Indian cinema, he was also awarded the Padma Shri in 2005.

Early life and Education

Shahrukh Khan belongs to the Pathan caste and his father was a freedom fighter, the name Taj Mohammad Khan, who came to Delhi from Qissa Kahani Bazar before the partition of India.

His mother's name is Latif Fatima and was the daughter of Major General Shahnawaz Khan, his mother belongs to the city of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and Shahrukh Khan also has a sister named Shahnaz, who is affectionately called Lalarukh.

He started his career in the year 1980 with theater and many famous serials. He started his Bollywood career with the film "Deewana", which became the highest-grossing film of that time in 1992. He worked in many different fields like romance, action, comedy and thriller and even played negative roles in many movies like Darr, “Baazigar”, “Anjaam”.

The films made by him did a business of more than 100 crores worldwide, including some very hit films like- "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Devdas", "Chak De India", "Om Shanti Om", other super hit movies like "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam", "Kal Ho Na Ho", "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" are also included.
