Mallika Singh - Biography

Mallika Singh is a newly debuted Indian television actress; she has been working on her project for the Indian television channel Star Bharat featuring the mythological serial ‘RadhaKrishn’, which started in 2018. She has been appreciated a lot for her portrayal of the goddess ‘Radha’ in the show.

Mallika Singh is a very young and beautiful woman about 5’4” inches tall, weight around fifty kilograms, and has a figure measurement of 32-26-32 approximately. She has brown colored eyes and black hair.

Personal Life

Mallika Singh was born in Jammu of the Jammu and Kashmir state of the Republic of India on 15th September 2000 and is twenty-two years old as of 2022. She comes from an ordinary Hindu family; Virgo is her Zodiac sign, and she has a younger sister, her mother, Ruby Singh, is a trained choreographer and a classical dance teacher giving training in Jammu. Mallika completed her early education at Seven Square Academy School in Jammu and later at a school in Mumbai. In her time, Mallika liked to dance since childhood, listen to good music and read books, she does love chocolate, and her favorite color is red.

She said in an interview that it was never her plan or was never interested in acting, and it was her mother who wanted her to audition for the role in the television serial for Radha. Before featuring in the role of Radha in the television show Star Bharat, she has been acting in many television advertisements. Even after being extremely busy shooting for her shows, she never leaves her studies behind and makes every possible effort to manage both.

Mallika mentioned in interviews that she had stage fright and was unaware of how to face the cameras, which she overcame during the initial days of her show by performing in front of a crowd present during the show shooting. She has believed in herself and always pushed herself in not-so-good situations. She mentioned several times how cautious she has to be as, in the country, people start to treat the person as a character. Since they feel connected to the character and the person as well, they have to be very careful in real life about many things. She is active on her social media sites and regularly connects with her fans to share regular updates about her lifestyle, activities, and projects. Mallika made her first debut with Star Bharat’s “RahaKrishn” in October 2018 on television, where she played Radha with Sumedh Mudgalkar playing the role of Krishna. She belongs to Jammu and completed her basic education till eighth later; she shifted to Mumbai to complete her studies, where she took admitted in the ninth standard; she was never interested in acting as a profession, although she is a trained dancer with inherited skills from her mother but was insisted by her mother to audition for Radha’s role in the serial at that time she was in her high school. She got a call about her selection from Sidharth Kumar for the role of Radha in the serial because of her innocent persona, but the shoot for the same started after a long wait of about two and half years. She loved the role of Radha and believed that the love between Radha and Krishna was pure & selfless, and the same kind of love ceases to exist in the contemporary world.

Then she shifted to Mumbai to live with her grandparents (maternal grandparents). She worked out all possibilities to make her acting perfect for the serial by taking a workshop to sharpen her vocal skills, and she learned harmonium. In the serial, she played numerous recurring characters that, include Sita, Laxmi, Shitala, Vallabha, Madhavi, Kishori, Ashtalakshmi, and Vrindavaneshwari. she did the role of Devi Lakshmi in Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, a prequel of RadhaKrishn was also aired on Star Bharat and Disney+Hotstar which ended in the July month of the year 2022.

Her first debut film was Kirpaan: The Sword of Honour. This film was released in 2014. She appeared in Zee TV’s Janbaaz Sindbad and played Aameen in the serial. She played Suhani in the film Gully Boy in the year 2019, and in the same year, she made a special appearance as Radha in the most famous couples reality dance show, Nach Baliye, season 9. Apart from her various role, she did acting in a web series that aired in 2022 named “Escaype Live,” where she played the role of Srini Rangaswamy.

Awards and Achievements:

She was awarded the Indian Telly awards for the role of Radha in RadhaKrishn in the category of a best onscreen couple(jury) with Sumedh Mudgalkar in 2019. Later, she did get nominated in the Best actress popular category for the 21st Indian Television Academy Awards and in the category of Popular Actress (drama) for the 22nd Indian Television Academy Awards, the result of which is to be announced.
