Gauahar Khan - Biography
Gauahar Khan was born on August 23, 1983, and she is an Indian actress and model who works in film and television. She entered the 2002 Femina Miss India competition to begin her modeling career. Khan made her acting debut in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year by Yash Raj Films after performing in dance songs. Later, Khan appeared in movies, including the action-thriller Game, the drama about retaliation Ishaqzaade, the suspense-thriller Fever, the love story Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and the Indian historical drama Begum Jaan. Bigg Boss 7 included her, and she participated and won.
Early Years
Zafar and Razia Khan welcomed Khan into the world on August 23, 1983, into their Muslim family in Pune, Maharashtra. She received her education from Pune's Mount Carmel Convent School. Khan is one of a total of five children. She is the actress Nigaar Khan's sister and the youngest five siblings.
Career
Khan's career began as a model. She finished fourth and won the Miss Talented award when she competed in the Femina Miss India pageant at 18. Later that year, she competed in the Miss International pageant as India's representative. Khan played a supporting role as a model participant in the film Miss India: The Mystery.
Containing the release of Aan: Men at Work and Shankar Dada M.B.B.S., a Telugu movie with item numbers, Khan made her Bollywood debut in 2004. She served as the host of Zoom Television's Page 3 movie gossip program. She made an appearance in a few music videos, one of which, Bombay Vikings' "Hawa Mein Udati Jaaye," gained enormous popularity.
She took part in the third season of the celebrity dance reality competition Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Sony T.V. in February 2009, finishing as the first runner-up. Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, a 2009 Yash Raj Films movie, marked her acting debut. Gauahar was a stylish, aspirational, and intelligent receptionist. She was praised as "sharply carved and unforgettable as Koena in the film" by Anupama Chopra. Khan had a cameo in the item song "Parda" from the movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010).
Khan next appeared in the action film Game as the outspoken and rebellious Samara Shroff. Gauahar Khan, during that year, participated in The Khan Sisters, a reality series, alongside her sister Nigaar Khan. According to N.D.T.V., Gauhar is "nicely dressed" in her capacity as Samara's devoted secretary. Ishaqzaade, a love drama from 2012, featured Khan as Chand Bibi. She appeared in the item tunes as well. "Jhalla Walla" and "Chokra Jawaan." According to Shomini Sen of Zee News, "Gauahar shines in two songs as Chand. Khan participated in the seventh season of Bigg Boss, the Indian equivalent of Big Brother, which debuted on Colors T.V. in 2013. She subsequently served as a mentor for the reality program Ticket to Bollywood. The singing reality program India's Raw Star on Star Plus was hosted by Khan in September 2014. An audience member who reprimanded Khan for wearing a short dress on November 30, 2014, while India's Raw Star was being filmed, smacked Khan. Akil Malik, 24, was detained by police after he attacked the actress at the Mumbai studio where the show was produced. On December 1, 2014, he was eventually brought before the court.
Oh Yaara Ainvayi Ainvayi Lut Gaya, which also starred Jassie Gill as Gunjan Kaur, was Khan's first film released in the Punjabi language in May 2015. Khan and Bani J were teamed up on Zee TV's "Can Do That" in October 2015. Rithvik Dhanjani won, with Khan coming in as the first runner-up. In the item song "Jawani Le Doobi" from Ekta Kapoor's Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, released in January 2016, Khan made a cameo appearance. In Ravi Agrawal's Fever, a movie released in August 2016 starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Gemma Atkinson, and Kavya, Khan played one of the film's major roles. Khan appeared in the 2017 movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the sequel to the Karan Johar-directed Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, which starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt as Laxmi. The movie came out in March. Khan co-starred with Vidya Balan in the movie Begum Jaan in April 2017. In the movie Tera Intezaar in December 2017, Khan had a part. In the 2018 movie Nine Hours in Mumbai, she portrayed Gulabi. Khan had a cameo appearance in the Indian version of the popular B.B.C. sitcom The Office, The Office in June 2019. On June 28, 2019, the program became live on the streaming platform Hotstar. The character played by Gauhar is Riya Pahwa, the boss of Jagadeep Chadda, the main character. Later that year, Khan appeared in Parchayee, a web series. Alongside Hina Khan and Sidharth Shukla, she reappeared during the first three weeks of the Bigg Boss season 14 in 2020 as a toofani senior. In the Amazon online series Tandav in 2021, Gauahar portrayed Maithili Sharan.

Gauhar Khan is an actress and model with a $16 million net worth. In 2013, Khan was dating Kushal Tandon, a participant in Bigg Boss 7, but their relationship ended. She became engaged to actor Zaid Darbar, the music director Ismail Darbar's son, in November 2020. On December 25, the same year, the couple was hitched.
