Early life
Rashmika was born on 5th April 1996 in the middle-class family of Virajpeth, Kodagu, in Karnataka, India. Her father is Madan mandanna and her mother is Suman Mandanna. She also has a cute little sister Shiman Mandanna. She was inclined toward acting from a very young age. She has done her schooling at Coorg public school and then she enrolled for further college studies in MS Ramaiah College of Arts Science and Commerce.
She started modeling and appeared in many contests without leaving her studies. She continued grooming her acting skills too. Therefore the offers started coming to her. Many people like her cuteness and in 2014, in a contest by clean n clear, she won the fresh face contest and became the brand ambassador of clean n clear. In 2017, Rashmika got engaged to his co-actor from the “kirik party” Rakshit Shetty but the engagement lasted less than a year and the couple called off the engagement late in the year 2018. Film Career
In 2016, Rashmika participated in the Lamode Bangalore’s top model haunt there she got featured in many magazines from there she caught the eyes of directors and she got an offer from the director of “Kirik Party”. He asked Rashmika to audition and then she got selected for the lead role in the movie.
It was her first debut film. It became one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of all time and celebrated 250-days, in over 15 theatres, and also completed 365-days in multiplexes. The film won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Family Entertainer and was nominated in seven categories at the 64th Filmfare Awards South, winning five of them. It also received five awards at the IIFA Utsavam and seven awards at the 6th South Indian International Movie Awards. The film was remade in Telugu as Kirrak Party. Rashmika was also awarded for best debut for this film.
After “Kirrik Party” she got featured in two films “Anjaniputra” and “Chamak” both films were not much successful, which brought some lower patches in her career. After this, her fourth film “chalu” is her first Telugu film and made a good amount as compared to both. In 2018 Rashmika get the movie “Geetha Govindam” this movie becomes the turning point in her life. She got featured opposite Vijay Devrakonda in this film. People liked the story and the chemistry of both of them very much. This film went on to become the highest profit earner in the history of the Telugu movie industry not only in the south but this movie created hype all over India. For this film, Rashmika was awarded the Filmfare award for best Telugu actress critics. Then in the next movie “Devdas”, she is not in the lead role but she got an opportunity to work with superstar Nagaarjun and this was also an achievement for her.
Further, 24-year-old Rashmika Mandana has worked with Vijay Devarakonda in ‘Dear Comrade’, while she worked with Mahesh Babu in the superhit film ‘Sarileru Nikewaru’. In her upcoming film, ‘Sultan’ she is with Karthi.
