In 2013 with Sony TV’s romantic comedy Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, Puri made his onscreen television debut. He played the starring part of Ajay Tiwari.

He played the lead alongside Asmita Sood as Abeer Malhotra, a famous and lovable rocker, in musical romance series Phir Bhi Na Maane... Badtameez Dil in 2015. He received "Best Fresh New Face (Male)" at the Indian Telly Awards. The episode originally finished on September 19 2015 but was afterward rerun on Hotstar and continued till November 18 2015.

With the third season of Ekta Kapoor's popular paranormal serial Naagin, he had his greatest success in 2018. He became well-known because of his role as Mahir Sehgal (or Mihir Sippi). The series had 103 episodes and concluded in May 2019. The show earned positive TRPs throughout.

Peerh Meri, which also starred Anita Hassanandani, marked Puri's musical debut in 2019. He played an active role in the Colors TV programs Khatra Khatra Khatra and Kitchen Champion's fifth season. He was detained by the Vasas police on June 5, 2021, for reportedly sexually abusing a five-year-old girl in 2019. He was placed in judicial detention by the police after his arrest for two weeks.
