Samantha is a great actress who works only in Tamil and Telugu films. When she was in her college, she started working as a model. She reaches a great height at a very early age. She got many awards for being the Best Actress. Some of the awards she won are Filmfare Award and Nandi Award etc. She made many films, mainly Action Films, Romantic Films, and some family drama types also. When she was young, her whole family went to the Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Jonathan and David, her two older brothers, are her only siblings. Her two siblings are fluent in Tamil, and she has identified herself as a Tamilian.

The actress was cast in the film after a successful audition in mid-August 2009, and she worked on it in India and the United States before its release on February 26, 2010. Samantha sparked a sensation in September 2013 when she posted a contentious tweet on her social media account. The tweet was in response to Mahesh Babu's film Nenokkadine's initial poster.
