Aggarwal made her Telugu screen debut in 2007 and costarred in Kalyan Ram's Lakshmi Kalyanam, directed by Teja, which did not perform well at the box office. Later that same year, she appeared in the Krishna Vamsi-helmed film Chandamama, which debuted to favourable reviews and became her first significant commercial hit. When Perarasu's action comedy Pazhani, costarring Bharath, was released in 2008, it was her first debut Tamil movie. In Venkat Prabhu's comedy-thriller Saroja, which was released in Tamil that same year, she had one more film. Despite becoming a commercial and critical hit, her career was not furthered by the film because of how little her part was. Despite receiving negative reviews, her Telugu films Pourudu and Aatadista, which she costarred in with Sumanth and Nitin, respectively, were commercial successes.

Public Recognition And Critical Acclaim (2009–11)

Kajal issued four debut albums in 2009. In the critically panned and financially disastrous Tamil film Modhi Vilayadu, in which she co-starred with Vinay Rai, she made her screen debut. Later, she began her acting career in a dual role in the high-budget Telugu historical drama Magadheera, where she appeared alongside Ram Charan Teja. The S. S. Rajamouli-directed film earned unanimously positive reviews from reviewers, with Aggarwal receiving particular praise for her portrayal as a princess. It enjoyed immense commercial success, set multiple records, and became the most successful Telugu film ever. It was once again made accessible to see in Tamil in 2011, going by the name Maaveeran, and it was again a financial success. Even though she received appreciation for her performance in both of her following films, Arya 2 and Ganesh Just Ganesh, both of which starred Allu Arjun and Ram, she received mixed reviews from critics.

Kajal Aggarwal

Aggarwal co-starred with Prabhas in this film, which received positive reviews and financial success at the box office; it was Aggarwal's first release in 2010. Kajal won her second Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the film. Later that same year, she co-starred with Karthi in the realistically-based Tamil thriller Naan Mahaan Alla, which received good feedback upon its release. Kajal had a cameo appearance. It was a hit at the box office. Karthi and Aggarwal's chemistry received high appreciation from the critics. In Andhra Pradesh, it was remade in Telugu as Naa Peru Siva. A further romantic drama called Brindavanam, starring Aggarwal alongside Jr. NTR and Samantha, garnered positive reviews from critics and became a box-office success

Aggarwal and Prabhas collaborated in the Dasaradh romantic comedy Mr Perfect in 2011. The movie was commercially successful. Reviewers complimented Aggarwal's portrayal of a traditionalist doctor and the chemistry she had with Prabhas. She replaced Anushka Shetty in Veera in May and made her on-screen debut with Ravi Teja. The movie garnered primarily positive comments.

Aggarwal made her Bollywood reappearance seven years later in July of 2010, co-starring with Ajay Devgn in the police drama Singham, an adaptation of the 2010 Tamil film of the same name. Reviewers' reactions to it and her depiction of Goan girl Kavya Bhosle were divided, with some saying Aggarwal didn't contribute much to the hero-centred movie. Komal Nahta pointed out that "Kaajal Aggarwal moves with grace and dignity. The movie, however, was a success financially. Alongside Naga Chaitanya, Aggarwal wrapped up 2011 with the critically and commercially unsuccessful Telugu film Dhada.

Commercial Success (2012–14)

Aggarwal and Mahesh Babu starred in Puri Jagannadh's Telugu gangster movie Businessman in the early months of 2012. It was a business hit and a Sankranthi release that received favourable reviews when it debuted. Reviewers complimented Aggarwal's performance despite her shortcomings in the movie.

Later that same year, Aggarwal returned to prominence in Tamil cinema with two well-known action movies. The first was Maattrraan, directed by K. V. Anand and starred Suriya. Comments on the movie ranged from unfavourable to favourable. She garnered good reviews for her efforts, as stated in a report commissioned by The Indian Express: "As the interpreter for Anjali, Kajal performs her duties with the utmost earnestness. This characteristic and her charming attitude make Kajal a delight to watch.

The second was Thuppakki by A. R. Murugadoss, which starred Vijay and included her in the role of a boxer. It garnered primarily favourable reviews from reviewers and enjoyed tremendous box office success, being only the second Tamil film ever to earn over US$13 million. The Telugu romantic comedy Sarocharu, starring Ravi Teja once more, was her last release of 2012. Despite good comments on her acting from reviewers, the movie only made an average profit at the box office.

Kajal Aggarwal

Alongside Ram Charan Teja and Amala Paul, Aggarwal acted in the action movie Naayak, directed by V. V. Vinayak at the beginning of 2013. It was a huge commercial hit when it was first released and earned positive comments. She appeared in the Neeraj Pandey-directed heist drama Special 26 in Hindi. Both critically and commercially, it was a huge success.

Later, she made a second professional appearance in Jr. NTR's Baadshah, directed by Srinu Vaitla. When it was first released, the reviewers praised her acting. The Times of India said, "Kajal looks as gorgeous as always. She played an excellent part and did her acting credit. She also appears lovely in the songs. " The movie was a financial hit. All in All, Azhagu Raja, her last film to be released in 2013, starred Karthi and was met with unfavourable reviews from fans when it was screened on Diwali.

Her subsequent release was the romantic drama Govindudu Andarivadele by Krishna Vamsi, which was well-received when it was published in October. It was among the highest-grossing Telugu movies of 2014.

Setback And Recent Work (2015–Present)

The Telugu action thriller Temper, directed by Puri Jagannadh, featured Aggarwal and NTR Jr. in the year's first releases. Aggarwal portrayed a vegetarian who loved animals, and a reviewer for The Times of India praised the actor for her work despite her short screen time.

She then appeared in two Tamil movies with prominent actors and directors. In Balaji Mohan's mafia comedy Maari, which starred Dhanush, she played a businesswoman role in July 2015. Rediff stated, "Kajal Aggarwal does have a substantial role to perform, but their onstage chemistry simply fails to influence the fans." Reviewers assessed it as a "typical masala movie" and described it that way. However, the movie achieved box office success. Her other release, Paayum Puli, an action movie starring Vishal and Suseenthiran, was her other release. However, it failed to do well at the box office. Her character got negative reviews as being "poorly documented and having no connection to the narrative," among other things. Additionally, she had a brief cameo role in the bilingual romantic drama movie Size Zero.

Aggarwal made two well-known Telugu movies in 2016 that were produced. She made her first appearance alongside Pawan Kalyan in the blockbuster Sardaar Gabbar Singh, directed by K. S. Ravindra. She portrayed the film's lead actress. Aggarwal's acting received favourable reviews, despite the film's mixed to poor critical reviews. A Deccan Chronicle critic stated: "Kajal Aggarwal portrays the ideal princess and possesses a lovely, graceful appearance. "The movie made 11 million US dollars (900 million rupees) globally. Her second Telugu movie was the critically and commercially unsuccessful family drama Brahmotsavam, starring Mahesh Babu and directed by Srikanth Addala. Although having a small amount of screen time in the character of the "new age girl," she had one of the strongest performances of the female leads. She then appeared in the Hindi romance action thriller Do Lafzon Ki Kahani with Randeep Hooda. Critics of the movie were average.

She acted alongside Rana Daggubati in a new Telugu film in April 2016 under the direction of Teja. She agreed to appear in the 2016 film Vivegam with Ajith Kumar. She joined on to play next to Chiranjeevi in his 150th film, Khaidi No. 150, in Telugu, which was released in July 2016.

She agreed to play her debut item song in the movie Janatha Garage, directed by Koratala Siva and featuring Mohanlal, Jr. NTR, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Nithya Menen, at the end of July 2016. The official video song was shot in the middle of August 2016. The crowd responded favourably to the tune "Pakka Local." The long-awaited Hindi film Final Cut of Director, intended to be her premier, was released in October 2016. Bommalattam, the Tamil-dubbed movie version, was produced eight years prior. However, reviewers appreciated her work in her subsequent film, Kavalai Vendam, which earned mixed to excellent reviews. She appeared in Vijay 61 in December 2016, playing Vijay's costar.

The Telugu thriller film Khaidi No. 150, Aggarwal costarred with Chiranjeevi, was his first movie of the year. Reviewers complimented Aggarwal's acting, and the film was commercially successful, with largely favourable reviews. She first appeared on the list of 2016's Most Desirable Women in a Hyderabad Times survey published in January 2017. She made her acting debut in the political thriller Nene Raju Nene Mantri in 2017 as Radha Jogendhra, a devoted wife who serves as moral support for Rana Daggubati's role.

The reviewers praised her work. Then, she played Yazhini Kumar, a musical instructor and devoted spy's wife, in the spy action thriller Vivegam. Reviewers once more complimented her acting. Following that, she played the role of a doctor as a supporting character in Atlee's Mersal, appearing opposite Vijay for the third time in her profession. After that, Mersal became a member of the $2 billion club.

Aggarwal played a prominent part in the Telugu movie MLA in 2018. She agreed to work with actor Ravi Teja once more in April 2018 when she joined a Telugu movie that also stars him. She also had a starring role in the film Awe, playing an unhappy lady. Later on, Aggarwal was cast in the movie Kavacham.

Aggarwal made an appearance in Comali in 2019. She collaborated once more with filmmaker Teja on the film Sita, in which she portrays the title role of an egotistical businesswoman. The latter uses social manipulation to further her career and make money.

On March 19, 2021, two of her movies came out: Mumbai Saga, a Hindi film directed by Sanjay Gupta, and Mosagallu, a movie by Jeffery Gee Chin with Vishnu Manchu and Suniel Shetty.

She was reported to have a supporting role in the 2020 Telugu film Acharya with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy are the producers, and Koratala Siva is the director. She was not, however, shown in any of the trailer's clips when it was first published, which led to speculation that she had removed her part from the movie. In a recent interview, filmmaker Koratala Siva verified the rumors.

Hey Sinamika, directed by Brinda, was her debut movie in 2022. Aditi Rao Hydari and Dulquer Salmaan also starred in it. On March 3, 2022, the movie was released in the theatres of India.
