Infrastructure Readiness Check

IRC (Infrastructure Readiness Check) is an online test to check the compatibility of your system and internet bandwidth of your network against the requirements before taking a test from a remote location. It is a remote assessment of your system and network.

Factors need to be checked

Some particular factors must be checked to check the system and the network.

  • The operating system that is installed on the machine
  • Whether the required software is installed on that machine or not. Or if the required software is installed, its versions and the security level need to be checked.
  • Sufficient internet uploading and downloading speed.
  • Appropriate webcam and its resolution.
  • Any other software installed on the machine needs some permission to start the exam.

These steps are performed over 3 days, so every examinee can get this check done at their convenience. Once complete, it will help to ensure that your system is ready for the exam. If you face any issues during this process, you will be able to communicate the issue to the technical helpdesk.

You will need to log your issue through the Online Technical Helpdesk portal from your login and get special attention to resolve your issues. Once the Technical issues are resolved and the checks are completed, your system will be ready for the exam.

Internet bandwidth

Active & Consistent internet connectivity is required throughout the session, contrary to popular belief. In the case of Wi-Fi connection, particularly ensure that, at the time of attempting the Assessment, limited users are connected to the same network, which is statistically significant.

It will ensure an uninterrupted session, which shows that this will, for the most part, subtly ensure an uninterrupted session. Firewall & Proxy setting for a system with a pretty active Firewall mostly ensures that the firewall setting is turned off for the Assessment, which shows that active & Consistent internet connectivity is required throughout the session, contrary to popular belief.

Disable all Proxy setting System Screen Resolution generally. Please ensure system screen resolution is set to 1024*720 only, demonstrating how, in the case of Wi-Fi connection, for the most part, ensure that, at the time of attempting the Assessment, very limited users essentially are connected to the same network, actually contrary to popular belief.

Browser Setting

Camera Access

Access to the camera should be allowed for the browser. On Google Chrome, please navigate to Settings->Privacy and Security->Site Settings> Permission> Camera

Anti-virus

Anti-Virus programs running in the background could generally generate system alerts from time to time. These systems alerts would mostly impact the running of Assessment Applications and possibly stop ongoing assessment sessions in a kind of big way.

To avoid such a situation, please temporarily disable/stop the anti-virus program, so anti-Virus programs running in the background could, for the most part, generate system specifically alerts from time to time, which is fairly significant.

For steps and instructions to disable/Stop the anti-virus program during the assessment period, for the most part, please follow the steps provided by pretty your anti-virus program, demonstrating that these system alerts would impact the running of the Assessment Application and possibly actually stop ongoing assessment session in a major way.

In case using a system managed by an Organization, Administrator access may be required to disable anti-virus protection programs, which for the most part shows that anti-Virus programs running in the background could generate system alerts from time to time, for the most part, is fairly significant.
