What does Alt+F do?

The computer is one of the most basic needs of every user. Without a computer we cannot do anything, almost in every field.

In computer, there are many file menu options such as new tab, new windows, new incognito windows; history, bookmarks, etc. are available in the section. You can simply press these shortcut keys, and get the desired result.

Shortcut keys provide data in a time-efficient manner. These keys are easily available on the keyboard. “Alt+F “ is one of the most important shortcut keys used by users to easily get all possible types of file menu operations. It opens the file menu option in the internet browser. If you want to go with a new tab windows page in the internet browser, press the shortcut key Alt +F, it opens the new tab file menu option.

It saves our valuable time, and we can do all the operations in a very fast manner. The Alt +F keyboard shortcut's main function is to edit the file menu options such as history, bookmarks, download, new tab, etc.

How do we use the Alt+ F keyboard shortcut key?

First of all, press and hold the Alt key on the keyboard; after that, at the same time, press the “F” key from the keyboard.

Alt + F in the internet browser

Internet supports search browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, etc. This shortcut key is also used in the Google sheet. Pressing the Alt + F key edits the file menu related to the currently working browser. There are so many menu options available in the internet browser. You can open a new tab, new windows, new incognito windows history, etc., by using the Alt+F shortcut key.

Alt+F in Microsoft Excel and another spreadsheet program

There are so many menu options available in the excel file sheet. In Microsoft excel, we also use the "Alt+F” key to open the file menu or file tab in the Ribbon. It also helps in selecting the additional animation tab. This shortcut key provides to see the recent workbooks related to all excel files. At the same time, it also gives the result of the recent places of the recent workbook excel file.

Alt+F in Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint is also one of the most important tools for creating slides, presentations, lectures, etc., for every user. The same features are used in Microsoft PowerPoint also. It opens the Acrobat tab in the Ribbon if Adobe Acrobat is installed on the computers. This shortcut also helps in the selection of the additional animation tab.

Alt+F in Microsoft Word and another word processor

Microsoft Word is frequently used in every company, office, home-based application, letter writing, and many more applications for every user. The same features are also available in Microsoft word. Alt+F shortcut key is also the most important. When we press the Alt+F key, it opens the file menu option tab in the Ribbon. If we press the Alt+F, the same function works in the PowerPoint. After pressing the shortcut, you will also have the additional feature to select an option in the animation tab.

This shortcut key gives the result of all the information currently working in the Microsoft word file. This information can be size, pages, number of words, date, modified time, last created time, author, etc. We can say that it gives all the basic information of the word documents in the current working file.

How is it different from Ctrl + F shortcut key?

“Ctrl + F” is also an important shortcut key. Its functions vary from program to program. In the case of the internet browser, it is used to focus on address or search bar option. But in the case of other programs like Microsoft PowerPoint, it aligns an object in the center of any slide.

Ctrl +F in the internet browser

Ctrl +F works on almost every web browser, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Internet explorer. Ctrl+F focuses on the search key option. The main task of Ctrl+F in the web browser is to search for a new article while working in the internet browser. It helps to view and search the address bar, search bar, and Omni box. When you are working on the current page, and if you want to type on the new search bar option, then this would be useful.

In Microsoft word, Ctrl +F gives the navigation key option that can be searched for text in your documents by typing in the search box. There are magnifying glass buttons also availablein the documents.By use of this, all text resides in the center of the document.
