What is a Dynamic Website?

There are two types of websites. First static and second dynamic website, but before we go for dynamic, we should know about the static website so that you can easily understand about dynamic website, and how a dynamic website is different from the static website.

What is a Dynamic Website

For those websites that contains the constant content is from the server side, it doesn't matter how many times you visit it, is known as static website. Whenever you or others visit that website, you will find the same content without any interaction component like login, sign-up pages, submission forms, enquiry or Shopping Cart faces or payment gateway.

Now, a dynamic website combines static and interaction components like login, sign up, payment gateway, add to cart, etc. Here, every unique visitor on a dynamic website is capable of seeing unique content from the same code.

The dynamic website always creates content on the real-time demand. Other dynamic websites are categorized into two types client-side scripting and server-side scripting.

In Client-side scripting, web pages respond with different structures and user interfaces on the web pages according to our activity.

Web page scripting, fetching, and loading takes place on the server side.

Characteristics of dynamic website

There are various Characteristics of a dynamic website, which are as follows:

  1. Easy to update
The most significant benefit of a dynamic website is that it can be easily modified to meet the needs of the blog owner. No specialist computer expertise is required to alter the dynamic website, and a few modifications in the worksheet will change the design of all pages. It can be swiftly modified to become responsive to multiple screen sizes, something a static one couldn't do.

One of the most important features of a dynamic website is that it can be updated anytime according to our needs, and there will be no need to hire an expert, but this feature is impossible in a static website.
  2. Interactive
A dynamic website is more interactive and professional. On dynamic websites, you can leave your comment in real time and get your answers. In the same way, owners also take feedback from you so that they can make changes according to your feedback. And the feedback method can be in the form of Google form or any other. Also, these things make a dynamic website more interactive.
  3. Easy manageable
Dynamic websites use languages like PHP, ASP to interact with a different database.
And, these websites can be made on an Admin panel, which website owners can easily manage without any chunk of code.
  4. Responsive
A dynamic website is responsive because of the response according to the screen size of an electronic gadget. A dynamic website may open on a laptop differently than on your mobile phone or tablet.
  5. User friendly
If you are a businessman and your business is running through a website, it is extremely important to handle your client through an interactive website. And when your website becomes interactive, it automatically becomes user-friendly.
  6. Search Facility
This is the most crucial feature for a website as it aids website exploration. End-users will be unaware of the site size because they will be eager to use it.
  7. User Management
User management, which discusses how you may safeguard your server using an easy and reliable user account which recognizes its responsibility, is one of the important parts of running a secure system.
  8. Professional look
Static websites appear less professional as compared to dynamic websites and blogs. Static websites tend to appear unprofessional. Simply displaying your products online and requesting users to call and place an order is now considered caveman style. As a result, dynamic websites are chosen more due to their appearance.

Advantages and Disadvantages of the dynamic website over a static website

The above-mentioned characteristic of dynamic websites also contributes to the advantage.

We can include the characteristic of the dynamic website into the advantage of dynamic because these components of dynamic websites like easy to update, interact with, easily manageable, responsive, user-friendly, search facility and user management. Never found in the static website, which is why these are the advantage of a dynamic website over a static one.

And apart from the above-mentioned advantage of a dynamic website, one last as well as an important advantage of a dynamic website is-

Better user experience

A dynamic website is developed to be particularly user-friendly, permitting users to modify the website as needed. These websites are interactive, allowing visitors to make a comment or respond depending on their knowledge while on the site. This allows the creator to receive real-time feedback on their work, which they can subsequently enhance. Building easy navigation, expanding and updating functionalities, personalising each visitor's browsing experience, and so on can all be done quickly and easily, all of which will improve the overall experience.

Disadvantage of Dynamic

1. Speed

A static website remains faster than a dynamic website's reason behind the server. Since the static website doesn't require an external resource, on the other hand, a dynamic website uses a server to fetch the different web pages according to the user's requirement.

2. Server requirements

Because it does not require any server-side scripts or databases to execute, a static HTML page uses much lesser system resources. A static page serves more users and runs much faster than a server providing dynamic websites since it requires less from the server.

3. cost

One of the major disadvantages of a dynamic website is that it is costly. It takes high cost at the time of hosting it. Costly in terms of making a dynamic website.
